Quint years ago, James Watson, incomparable of the fathers of DNA, tried to sell his Nobel Prize because people thought he was a racist.

Cold Spring Harbor had far Watson as chancellor and from all administrative duties in 2007 following his explosive comments but allowed him to uphold an office and several titles after Watson expressed repent over making them. On Friday, the science laborator revoked his titles of chancellor emeritus, unearned trustee, and Oliver R. Grace professor emeritus. Attempts to reach Watson late Sunday night were unsuccessful.
